La cosecha de nominaciones hispanas a los Globos de Oro ha sido este año generosa. A producciones como "Frankenstein" (mejor película), "O agente secreto" y "Sirât" (mejor película en lengua no inglesa) se les ha sumado un buen puñado de nombres propios: Guillermo del Toro (director), Oscar Isaac, Wagner Moura, Benicio del Toro, Jacob Elordi (actores protagonistas o de reparto en cine), Jacob Elordi (de nuevo), Selena Gómez, Diego Luna y Jenna Ortega (actores en TV).

Aunque "Frankenstein" ha logrado un total de cinco candidaturas, la lista en cine la encabeza "One Battle After Another" con nueve, mientras en el apartado televisivo la líder es la tercera temporada de "The White Lotus".

En el rubro de mejor película daramática, el film del tapatío Del Toro compite con el del brasileño Kleber Mendonça Filho "O agente secreto", "Hamnet", "It Was Just An Accident", "Sentimental Value" y "Sinners".

Como mejor actor dramático han sido citados Oscar Isaac ("Frankenstein") y Wagner Moura ("O agente secreto"), y entre los actores de reparto en cine encontramos a Benicio del Toro ("One Battle After Another") y a Jacob Elordi ("Frankenstein").

Serán también dos las películas iberoamericanas en el quinteto de nominaciones a la mejor en lengua no inglesa, la brasileña "O agente secreto" y la española "Sirât".

En interpretaciones de televisión, nuevamente encontramos al descendiente de vascos Jacob Elordi ("The Narrow Road to the Deep North"), junto al mexicano Diego Luna ("Andor"), Jenna Ortega ("Miércoles / Merlina / Wednesday") y a Selena Gómez ("Only Murders in the Building").
