Colman Domingo, Jacob Elordi, Rodrigo Prieto y "La sociedad de la nieve", candidatos en unos BAFTA con "Oppenheimer" favorita

"Oppenheimer" se desmarca claramente de "Barbie" en las nominaciones anunciadas este jueves de los británicos premios BAFTA, entre cuyos candidatos encontramos al afrolatino Colman Domingo ("Rustin"), el descendiente de vascos Jacob Elordi (por partida doble, como actor secundario por "Saltburn" y actor revelación), el director de fotografía mexicano Rodrigo Prieto ("Killers of the Flower Moon") y la película española "La sociedad de la nieve".
Conforme avanza la temporada de premios parece claro que el fenómeno "Barbenheimer" se desinfla y la película de Christopher Nolan empieza a ser considera la clara favorita del año. La Academia de Cine y TV del Reino Unido (BAFTA) se ha decantado por "Oppenheimer", cinta con diferentes talentos británicos a bordo, empezando por su director, y le ha concedido 13 nominaciones. Este logro convierte a la película sobre las primeras bombas atómicas en la más nominada del director en su país de origen, el Reino Unido, donde también fue la más taquillera de su carrera.
Además de las categorías de mejor película y dirección, "Oppenheimer" suma las de mejor actor principal para Cillian Murphy y dos de reparto para Emily Blunt y Robert Downey Jr., así como guión adaptado.
En segunda posición encontramos no a "Barbie" (que solo ha tenido cinco candidatutas), sino a "Poor Things", de Yorgos Lanthimos, con 11 nominaciones, incluyendo mejor película y mejor actriz para Emma Stone. "Killers of the Flower Moon" y "The Zone of Interest" recibieron nueve nominaciones cada una.
La rosada cinta sobre la popular muñeca no competirá a mejor película ni dirección, pero al menos Greta Gerwig sí ha sido nominada como guionista original junto a Noah Baumbach, y sus protagonistas, también tienen opciones: Margot Robbie como mejor actriz y Ryan Gosling como mejor actor de reparto.
La ceremonia de los BAFTA Film Awards se llevará a cabo el 18 de febrero en el Royal Festival Hall de Londres, con el actor David Tennant ("Doctor Who") como maestro de ceremonias.
