Guillermo del Toro y "Coco", brillan en las nominaciones a los Premios Imagen del cine latino en EEUU

Ya se han hecho oficiales las nominaciones para la 33 edición de los Imagen Awards, galardones que celebran la representación positiva y la excelencia creativa de la cultura latina y sus profesionales en la televisión, el cine y los medios. La ganadora del Oscar a la mejor película, "La forma del agua / The shape of water", está nominada a la Mejor película, junto con la animación ganadora del Oscar, "Coco", la de Eugenio Derbez "¡Hombre al agua! / Overboard", y "Como cortar a tu patán / How to break up with your douchebag". El cineasta mexicano ganador del Oscar, Guillermo del Toro, también es candidato al mejor director junto con Lee Unkrich y Adrián Molina de "Coco".
Pasándonos al sector televisivo, siete shows son los que competirán por el "Best primetime program" (Mejor programa en horario estelar):
"The crossing" (de ABC), "How to Get Away with Murder" y "Station 19"; "Shades of blue" (de la NBC) y "Law and order: SVU"; "Major crimes" (de TNT); y "La reina del sur" (de USA Network).
Los aspirantes a los "Primetime comedy" son "Brooklyn Nine-nine" (de Fox, pero próximamente se mudará a la NBC), "Jane the virgin" (de The CW), "Modern family" (de ABC), "One day at a time" (de Netflix) y "Superstore" (de NBC).
